As the end of summer nears, I thought I’d give you a brief update on our travel plans. My four-month job as seasonal park ranger with the Army Corps of Engineers North Springfield Lake will conclude on Friday, September 6. We then leave our summer camp and begin a three week journey west to Elko, Nevada, where I’ve accepted a six-month seasonal ranger job with the California Trail Interpretive Center. We’ll be spending a week in Denver visiting family and friends and taking care of a few maintenance doctor appointments from September 16 through the 22nd.
