As I did on our Road Trip #1 (see summary post here), I will try to post updates on Thursdays. Since our trip began on a Thursday, this one will be short.
We left the Outpost (our RV park for the past 4 months) this morning. I can’t say enough good about this park. Our site was beautiful, it was quiet, and had friendly long-term residents. We were parked under an enormous Live Oak tree draped with Spanish Moss and pelted for at least the last 6 weeks with tons of acorns!
We drove north in a bit of a round-about way (to avoid toll roads and highway closures) to Coe Landing County Park. This is located on the Ochlockonee River just southwest of Tallahassee, Florida. We’ll only be here for one night.
Over the coming week we’ll be making our way toward Colorado. We only like to travel around 200 miles per day, but plan on arriving in Colorado on December 23.
