Reasons to Believe
- Reasons to Believe has been around for over 30 years. Hugh Ross Fazale Rana, Ken Samples, Joe Aguirre, and Jeffrey Zweerink, along with the rest of the team there have had a great influence on my views and understanding of the Watchmaker’s (God’s) manifestation of himself in the world (natural theology). As stated on their website, “RTB’s mission is to spread the Christian Gospel by demonstrating that sound reason and scientific research—including the very latest discoveries—consistently support, rather than erode, confidence in the truth of the Bible and faith in the personal, transcendent God revealed in both Scripture and nature.”
The Gospel Coalition
- This group has a plethora of articles and commentary on the intersection of biblical worldviews and life. As stated on their website, “As a broadly Reformed network of churches, The Gospel Coalition encourages and educates current and next-generation Christian leaders by advocating gospel-centered principles and practices that glorify the Savior and do good to those for whom he shed his life’s blood. A biblically grounded and united mission is the only enduring future for the church. We desire to champion the gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity, compassion, courage, and joy – gladly linking hearts with fellow believers across denominational, ethnic, and class lines. We invite all Christians to join us in an effort to renew the contemporary church in the ancient gospel of Christ so that we truly speak and live for him in a way that clearly communicates to our age.”
The Bible Project
I really like the resources on this site. I use the videos and posters often in conjunction with Sunday School lessons that I teach (to co-ed adults). This site has inspired me by the quality of their animation and the clarity of the content. As stated on their website, “The Bible Project is a Portland based non-profit that utilizes short-form, fully animated videos to make the biblical story accessible to everyone, everywhere. We create videos, podcasts, and study guides that explore the Bible’s unified story by focusing on its overarching themes and each book’s literary design. We are committed to understanding the Bible in its historical context and communicating its wisdom for the modern world.”
