Hi everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog post but I decided to do something a little different this time. Rather than just posting a prayer need on text and social media, I decided to write a short blog about it because those also go out on social media as well.
My oldest son, Sean, went into the hospital on December 27 with what he thought was severe back pain and resulting difficult painful breathing. It turned out to be a severe and unusual type of pneumonia. His left lung was about 90% filled with fluid and has had over 2 liters drained out of it. The fluid turned fibrous and the lung is severely compromised and inflexible. He is currently stable and awaiting surgery.
The surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, January 7. It is called Decortication and is explained at this website (https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/procedures/decortication).
I’m expecting his hospital stay to continue into next week as well. Please pray for the doctors and surgical team that they would be successful in remedying his problem. Also pray for peace and confidence for Sean and our family. Also pray that any biopsies that are done will be negative for cancer or any other terrible conditions. Thanks!
